KeyLogic
Systems’ document management capabilities have enabled the
United States Army to more effectively and efficiently “get
their arms around” the vast amount of correspondences levied
by Army personnel documents, both electronic and paper.
For the Army,
KeyLogic personnel have created a web based records tracking
system. The Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS)
is designed to retrieve and store over 130 terabytes of
official record information by 2007. This information is now
easily accessible and eliminates the need for costly and
inefficient paper record interaction.

KeyLogic
personnel serve as the lead technical contractor in developing
the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS) for
the Records Management and Declassification Agency. The KeyLogic
Team played a major role in its design, implementation and
ongoing maintenance. KeyLogic personnel have developed a web-based
records tracking system for all official records created by
Army personnel. ARIMS is designed to store and retrieve over
130 terabytes of official record information by fiscal year
2007.
ARIMS
is projected to store about 907 million e-mail messages, 3.5
million index entries for paper records, about 146 million
electronic files, 2.4 billion AIS records and an unknown
quantity of multimedia files. Currently the system is 22
terabytes, and at completion will be more than 130
terabytes, one of the largest SQL Server databases in the
government.
Finally, KeyLogic is proud to say that our
technical leadership on this project enabled the Army to
receive the 2004 Archivist Achievement Award from the
National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
