KeyLogic Supports NETL Process Improvements
KeyLogic staff
supporting the Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology
Laboratory (NETL) recently delivered the Funds Flow Tracking (FFT) System to
the NETL Project Management Center (PMC). The FFT System enables the PMC to
associate Headquarters funding and program guidance with financial
authority, and track funding and authority through to the execution of
energy technology research and development projects. The FFT System thereby
eliminates the inefficiency and vulnerability of a paper tracking system and
multiple distinct electronic modules for this federal accountability process
and enables process monitoring and control.
NETL PMC
managers developed the concept for FFT out of need to improve their internal
operations. After learning of our broader corporate capabilities, NETL
tasked KeyLogic to bring in our Knowledge Management experts to develop the
system. The KeyLogic approach includes working within the existing NETL IT
infrastructure to deliver the desired capability at a very reasonable cost.
According to
KeyLogic Vice President Glenn Copen, “This is an excellent example of
KeyLogic bringing together our three core competencies – Program Management,
Portfolio and Performance Management, and Knowledge Management – to the
benefit of our customers.”
