KeyLogic
Systems chosen to speak on Knowledge Management at E-Gov conference
KeyLogic Systems has
been chosen to speak at the upcoming Knowledge Management 2003 Conference
held April 14-16 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center
in Washington, DC. The theme of this KM 2003 Conference will be Employing
Proven Tools for Results. The conference curriculum is designed in consultation
with an independent Program Advisory Board of leaders from government and
industry. The objective of this Board is to offer a comprehensive program
that addresses the most pressing issues with a diverse faculty from the
public and private sectors.
KeyLogic will be presenting
information from their EPA "eFacts" Knowledge Management system. KeyLogic
Systems personnel support the EPA in transforming their Superfund data into
knowledge. EPA's "eFacts" Knowledge Management system provides solid KM
capabilities to EPA Management updated nightly with the latest Superfund
site activity information. A sophisticated data warehouse and top-flight
charting application make this KM system a model for federal agencies swamped
in data but starved for useful information.
eFacts presents information
more quickly and in an easier to understand form that allows the EPA to
confidently make better decisions at a fraction of the cost. Managers can
now more easily respond to requests from all of their customers, federal
or civilian. Reports are now generated at the "speed of thought" instead
of requiring time consuming and non cost effective manual generation. Reports
that used to take a month to generate are now created instantly using eFacts.
The eFacts technical
lead, John Batzer, will be speaking on Data Warehouses in Knowledge Management,
along with Adam Nowak, BI Program Manager, Microsoft, and Shobhik Chaudhuri,
Program Manager, Grant Thornton.
