KeyLogic
Helps EPA Win Presidential Recognition

The Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) was recently honored as a finalist for the President's Award
for Quality in the area of budget and performance integration utilizing
a core software system developed by KeyLogic Systems, a knowledge management
solution provider. The EPA's use of KeyLogic's Budget Automation System
(BAS) has been highly successful in real time tracking of multiple budget
elements and hundreds of thousands of individual line items.
The system links financial
information databases to give overall or detailed views of budget allocations,
spending and performance. As a result, the EPA's $8 billion budget can be
dissected at will by individual, team or central review oversight and auditing
personnel. Budget allocations, actual spending and declining balances by
category or line item are now a simple matter of accounting "by the numbers."
BAS provides EPA with a decision support tool to make informed business
decisions, resulting in better performance, higher quality and increased
value. BAS' creative approach supports the EPA's Government Performance
and Results Act (GPRA) compliance efforts. GPRA is a performance yardstick
to help agencies with strategic and annual fiscal planning that interconnects
resources, objectives, tracking and reporting responsibilities.
"KeyLogic is glad to
partner with the EPA in meeting the President's Management Agenda practices.
It is especially important in today's government environment where tax dollar
spending has to be efficient and effective," said Jon Hammock, KeyLogic
President. KeyLogic Systems specializes in Knowledge Management and e-Government
solutions that enable better business decisions for more successful organizations.
KeyLogic is certified

the economy and creating new jobs in specified areas.
