
Monday, July 21, 2003 - KeyLogic Systems Inc. plans to hire about 18 people
in the next 90 days. Jon Hammock, president, talked with the Post's Kate Wichmann.
Q What does your company do?
A We offer IT consulting services that focus on two main areas: one, knowledge
management and data warehousing, and two, IT program management where we
stress linking IT performance and budget integration.
What do you think your employees would say were the best reasons for
working at your company?
The environment, the energy. We know in our business that our employees
are number one. As consultants, our core service is providing high-quality,
professional employees to help our clients. So we stay focused on the people.
We give people the opportunity to grow as the company grows.
What stability can your firm offer job candidates?
We have never had a one-time customer; every client has provided repeat
business. We're a disciplined, managed company that focuses on strategic
outcomes. We have diversified clients; our clients are split about 50 percent
between civilian and defense agencies.
Who owns your company?
I own the company 100 percent. I have spent my entire career in the IT
field as a consultant for federal agencies. I have about 15 to 16 years
experience.
What are the demographics of your company?
We're about 50 percent female and 20 [percent] minority. Our five-person
executive team has two women and no minorities. Our average age is about
35.
What positions do you have available and what level of expertise do
you want?
Two program managers (10-plus years experience), 10 program management
analysts (five to 10-plus years), two data modelers (three to five years),
two senior developers (five-plus years) and two administrative positions
(one-plus years).
