Jon Hammock
President & CEO

Jon Hammock, the President and Co-Founder of KeyLogic Systems, Inc., has over 20 years of technical and management experience. He has led numerous technical programs for such customers as the Department of Defense (DoD), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and Department of Energy (DOE). Mr. Hammock has a proven history of delivering high-quality, successful IT projects within budget and on schedule. At KeyLogic, he has a special focus on ensuring customer satisfaction and establishing new client relationships.

Under Hammock's leadership, KeyLogic has seen a tremendous track record of success including twelve consecutive years of growth since its inception in 1999.  Hammock is most proud of KeyLogic's unwavering attention to their customer's mission success and satisfaction which is best demonstrated by their record of never having a one-time customer - every customer has provided repeat business.

Mr. Hammock has a BS degree in Computer Science from West Virginia University and an MBA from the University of South Carolina. He was recently inducted into the WVU Lane Department of Computer Science & Electrical Engineering's Academy of Distinguished Graduates. Before founding KeyLogic, he worked for General Electric, DuPont, and Westinghouse.

Ken Bissett
Chief Financial Officer

Ken Bissett has more than 25 years of experience performing and managing all aspects of finance, accounting, planning, contracts, human resources, administration, and general operations management. As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Mr. Bissett develops strategies to maintain the company’s strong financial growth, manages corporate processes and fiscal systems, and oversees all of KeyLogic’s daily business operations.

Before joining KeyLogic in 2006, Mr. Bissett served as CFO for several companies, including LJT & Associates, SIMmersion LLC, and TSI TelSys. He received his BS degree in Accounting from Fairmont State College.

 

Scott Thesing, PMP
Vice President


Scott Thesing has over 20 years of federal consulting, knowledge management, and business management experience. Mr. Thesing joined KeyLogic in October 2000 and currently serves as Vice President, Director of the DC Metro Area office, and Director of the Knowledge Management Strategic Business Unit (SBU). He received his BS degree in Information Services from Salisbury State University in 1987 and previously worked for companies including Wang Laboratories, Booz Allen Hamilton, and ISSI Consulting.

In addition to managing the daily operations of KeyLogic’s DC Metro office, Mr. Thesing is actively involved in large systems development efforts involving several developers and multiple contracting firms, and has participated in the rollout of several nationwide systems, with work including system specification, database design, system database programming, training, documentation, and task management.

George Spencer, PMP
Vice President


George Spencer serves as Vice President and Director of KeyLogic’s Program Management Strategic Business Unit (SBU), with a focus on the company’s program management functions, national security programs, and general business development. Based in Alexandria, Virginia, Mr. Spencer joined KeyLogic with an MBA in Operations Research, a BA in Economics, and more than 35 years of experience from his positions with CALIBRE Systems, Carnegie Group, Vector Research, and the Department of Defense (DoD). At KeyLogic, Mr. Spencer has supported the DoD, particularly the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and the Army, and has significantly contributed to the company’s success through the continuous growth of his SBU.

Before coming to KeyLogic, Mr. Spencer was a director and principal at CALIBRE Systems, where he was responsible for developing and managing business in both the civil and defense sectors. He also served as the Program Manager for a nationwide GSA information technology studies and analysis contract. Additionally, Mr. Spencer was the author of the KeyLogic Project Management Guide (PMG) and the corporate champion for aligning the PMG with the Capability Maturity Model (CMM), which allows CMM processes to be applied to all of KeyLogic's software and analysis projects.

Glenn Copen, PMP
Vice President

Glenn Copen, Vice President of Civilian Programs and KeyLogic’s Portfolio and Performance Management Strategic Business Unit (SBU), joined KeyLogic in 2003 with more than 30 years of technology experience and over 20 years of project management experience. Mr. Copen studied Mathematics at West Virginia University and, prior to joining KeyLogic, worked with companies including AT&T, Bell Atlantic, Nationwide Insurance, Sterling Software (now Computer Associates), and ManTech Corporation.

At KeyLogic, Mr. Copen has been instrumental in the expansion of civilian programs and the development of KeyLogic’s methodology for IT portfolio management and Earned Value Management. He has performed duties as Senior Performance Analyst and Senior Project Manager for agencies including the Department of Labor (DOL), General Services Administration (GSA), and Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). He leads KeyLogic’s team supporting Northrop Grumman and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) with Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services.

Carey Butler, PE, PMP
Vice President

Carey Butler is KeyLogic's Vice President of Energy Programs. With 30 years of technical program management expertise and responsibility for numerous multi-million-dollar contracts, Mr. Butler has worked with many federal customers including the Department of Energy, NASA, and Department of Defense. Mr. Butler joined KeyLogic in 2009 and manages the company's largest single contract with DOE's National Energy Technology Laboratory. Additionally, he leads business development efforts in the areas of Energy & Environmental Technology Management and R&D Technology Management.

Mr. Butler earned a BS in Engineering Physics from the U.S. Naval Academy, an MA in National Security Affairs from U.S. Naval Post-Graduate School, and a MSE in Geotechnical-Environmental Engineering from West Virginia University. He served 26 years in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserve as a Nuclear Submarine Officer and Engineering Duty Officer with assignments in the Naval Sea Systems Command and the Office of Naval Research.

Michele Smith
Executive Director of Contracts

Michele Smith has been with KeyLogic since January 2002, when she joined the company as an Account Analyst. She was promoted to Accounting Manager in 2004, became KeyLogic's Director of Finance in August 2006, and extended her responsibilities to Director of Contracts & Finance in September 2007. Ms. Smith oversees all finance department activities and has been an integral part of the company's financial management, including streamlining processes and increasing the efficiency and maturity of the financial business systems.

A graduate of West Virginia University - Parkersburg, Ms. Smith earned a BS in Business Administration and Accounting.
