Position: Sr. Documentation Specialist

Labor Category: Full Time

Location: Newport News, VA

As a Sr. Documentation Specialist, you will become an integral part of our growing organization. As a member of the KeyLogic Team, you will be able to expand your knowledge, work with top industry experts and be a valued and recognized employee. The position requires an ability to take initiative and a willingness to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment.

Successful candidate will be involved with development, implementation and revision of courseware and accelerated schedules. You will develop and refine training curriculum, including end-user and administrative modules for all projects/products. The primary responsibility is to coordinate, implement, XML/HTML based CBT for customer facing product solutions and interventions. You will work with the Software Developers, Technical Writers, Testers, to lead the coordination, documentation, delivery and implementation of training materials.

The ideal candidate will possess the following traits and experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with 4 – 6 years technical documentation experience.

  • An active Secret Clearance.

  • Expertise in the use of FrameMaker for online documentation.

  • Expertise in translating legacy documents form FrameMaker to Structured FrameMaker for eventual use in XML generation.

  • Knowledge of single sourcing documentation.

  • Experience developing user guides, technical manuals.

  • Desire experience with developing structured applications, read/write rules, EDDs, and conversion tables for Structured FrameMaker.

  • Desire experience developing XML, HTML, XSLT and cascading stylesheets.

  • Experience with Instructional Systems Design a plus.

  • Experience with multimedia development tools such as Micromedia Flash, Adobe Premier, Macromedia Captivate and Audio Editing Tools a plus.
