Earned Value Management (EVM)

The KeyLogic portfolio evaluation process assesses IT projects from initiation through the development lifecycle, while monitoring and controlling the activities.  The process is also designed to provide management personnel the necessary tools and data to analyze project cost and performance at any point throughout.  Elements of this process include cost-benefit analysis, operational analysis and earned value management (EVM).

The EVM process is a significant part of good project management.  KeyLogic provides experienced personnel to support agencies in their OMB EVM compliance requirements, and to help them get the most value from their EVM processes and tools.  We utilize our own defined EVM process conforming to ANSI Standard 748-A, and tailor the processes to agency requirements and organizational structure.

Our personnel have experience with multiple project management tools, earned value tracking tools and analysis tools.  We assemble the optimal set of tools to accommodate existing system architecture and infrastructure.

EVM is part of the Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) process and supports the submission of OMB Exhibit 300B business case analyses, as well as the ongoing Control Processes.
